The Shire of Mt Marshall operates a Family Day Care Service in both Beacon and Bencubbin. The service in Beacon is located at the Town Hall, and in Bencubbin at the Sturt Pea Building.
The Beacon Family Day Care is open every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. The Bencubbin Family Day Care is open every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8.30am to 4.30pm.
Employment Opportunity
The Shire of Mt Marshall is seeking two (2) full time educators to run “in-venue” Family Day Care services, in Beacon and Bencubbin commencing as soon as possible. Both services operate Monday to Thursday under the support of the Willi Wag Tails Family Day Care Scheme and the Shire of Mt Marshall.
Heavily subsidised Shire housing is provided with this position along with the following incentives:

- Rent capped at $92 per week
- Relocation allowance of up to $4,000 (for successful applicants relocating from outside of the Shire)
On top of top of the attractive incentives listed above, the role’s remuneration ranges
between $71,000 and $76,000 dependant on experience and qualifications.
Requirements of the role include:
- Hold or enrolled and actively working towards your Certificate Ill in Early Childhood Education
- Current National police check or willing to obtain
- Working with Children check clearance or willing to obtain
- Current Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting – HLTAID012 and Asthma & Anaphylactic training or willing to obtain
- Accredited Food Safe Certificates or willing to obtain.
- Demonstrable commitment to the social, emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of children
